Baby Collins' Gender Reveal

When I found out I was pregnant, one of my first thoughts was "it has to be a boy." C and I both have nothing but girls in our family and we were both SO looking forward to being the first ones to give both of our families a little grandson.

For a few weeks, I had convinced myself that I was carrying a boy. I looked up all the signs of carrying a boy and checked them off one-by-one. I even bought this adorable little onesie because I was so convinced!

We opted to take the blood test at 10 weeks to find out the gender and had our results the next week. We wanted the gender to be a surprise, so my mom was given the task of keeping the big secret and planning our gender reveal. She did a FABULOUS job! (You can see from the pictures)

I think our friends and family were split 50/50 on what they thought it was going to be. We gathered everyone outside and armed them with giant confetti cannons, ready to reveal whether the little peanut was a boy or a girl.

When I saw the pink confetti shoot into the air, I immediately burst into tears. Happy tears, though! (I think...) C's face in the pictures and videos is so funny. He doesn't really show much emotion at first- I think he was extremely concentrated on pointing the confetti cannon in the right direction! We're very excited though! Boy or girl, we just want a happy, healthy baby.

Outfit Details

My sister had to talk me out of getting a blue dress for the party (I told y'all I was convinced it was a boy), so I opted for this gorgeous white maxi from Cheeky Bliss in Statesboro. I've linked some similar styles for y'all below, too! My tatas have grown nearly two cup sizes, so finding something to cover them was just about impossible. This dress is so flattering though- I have the same one in an army green color that I wore to a wedding last year. Finding a floor-length maxi for a tall girl is difficult, but this one is the perfect length!

I added a light denim jacket and a pair of my favorite Kendra Scott earrings and called it a day.

You can also find Abri's adorable "Promoted to Big Sister" shirt here.

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate and for all of the well-wishes! We're so lucky to have such amazing people in our lives!

We can't wait to meet you, Baby Aria!
