Baseball Hat DIY

The Cubs vs. Pirates game was Sunday afternoon and of course, I had to represent Chi-town.

I desperately wanted to find a Cubs hat to wear but I had zero luck. (I guess the stores in Pennsylvania aren't too keen on selling other teams' merch.)

Last minute, my little sis and I decided to make our own hats- which turned out to be the easiest DIY I've ever done tbh.

The baseball hat trend is one of my faves. They're great for bad hair days and can add a sporty look to virtually any outfit. Keep scrolling for the steps and materials you need to make your own hat!

Large iron-on letter
Small iron-on letters
White baseball hat (linked below)
Fabric spraypaint (choose a color)
Small cloth (a washcloth works just fine)

Use fabric spraypaint (linked above) to paint the white hat whichever color you prefer
** If you can find a hat that is the color you want already, you can just use that one and skip the next two steps

Spray 2-3 coats on the hat to get an even shade allover

Let the hat dry for about 30 minutes

Follow the instructions for the iron-on letters and place the big letter on the front of the hat

Use the smaller letters to spell out the team name on the back of the hat

Once you have all of your letters ironed on, use a knife or a pair of scissors and gently scrape the bill of the hat to give it a distressed look
