Four Ways to Wear Your Blanket Scarf

Blanket scarves are so in this season it's not even funny. I remember having one last year and not wanting to wear it because I got weird-ass looks from people when I did decide to wear mine. Lucky for me, they're super hot {literally + figuratively} now and my collection is constantly growing. It's kind of a problem, really, but we can talk about that later.

I've had a couple of friends come to me asking how in the world they're supposed to wear a blanket around their neck. I've also seen quite a few people wearing them out and about who could really use a lesson on how to wear a blanket scarf without looking like a turtle popping out of it's shell. So, naturally, I decided to write a blog post about it.

A true blanket scarf is one that opens up to a perfect square, usually 55 in x 55 in. You'll know it's a true blanket scarf when you open it up and realize you can literally wrap your whole body in it.

I've linked a few scarves below, just in case you haven't managed to grab one yet!

Here are four ways you can wear your blanket scarf without looking like a peeping turtle:

ONE - Take one corner of the scarf and pair it with the opposite corner to make a big triangle. With the bulk of the triangle in front of you, wrap each "tail" around your neck and let them fall with the front of the triangle.

TWO - Open the scarf completely. Bunch it up and drape it around your neck.

THREE - Fold the scarf back into a big triangle and drape it over your shoulders with the point of the triangle covering your back.

FOUR - Fold the scarf in half and wrap it around your neck. This is similar to the second style, but gives a neater look with clean lines.
