Valentine's Day Playlist

I think I'm one of the few people who actually like Valentine's Day. The argument I hear most often is "you should show your love every day, not just one day out of the year." Yeah, you should, but it doesn't always work like that. We get caught up in work and appointments and school and things that regularly irritate the living crap out of us that we sometimes forget to show our special someone just how special they are.

Cue Valentine's Day! It's a day to say "Hey, look. I know I can be a pain in the ass sometimes but you're really great and I really appreciate everything you do for me. I love you. Here's your favorite candy and a picture of us kissing to put in your office." It's a day to forget about all the craziness going on in your life and spend time with the person(s) you love most.

I don't know about y'all, but my boyfriend is not the lovey-dovey type. I'll hear an adorable song and tell him about it and his response is something along the lines of "yeah, I like it, babe." {insert annoyed emoji face here} But that's just how some people are. They show their love in other ways- like getting you a puppy for Valentine's Day or ya know, buying a house for you.

For those of you blessed with an overly-affectionate significant other, they'll most likely appreciate the mushy gushy playlist I've put together. For those of you with an s.o. like mine, this is where you get to shower them with ridiculous love songs that they'd most likely be embarrassed to listen to in public.

Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.

I absolutely love digging into the lyrics of my favorite songs and relating them to my current situation. There's something so special about finding a song that describes how you're feeling perfectly.

I've put together a list of 14 love songs that make me feel all warm inside- and I hope they make you feel the same way! A YouTube playlist is linked below for y'all, too!
