Life Chats: Christmas Recap

As I get older I'm starting to realize just how important family is. This year was the first year I didn't wake up at either one of my parents' house Christmas morning. It was also the first year I've spent Christmas apart from the oldest of my younger sisters.

Let me tell you, I was an emotional wreck all day Christmas Eve and a good portion of Christmas Day. Reality smacked me in the face and I wasn't too fond of the message it was sending me- YOU'RE GROWING UP!

Like um, no thank you. I'll take a sippy cup and cartoons please...

We're moving to Georgia in a week and my short 30-minute drive to see my family is about to turn into a two-and-a-half hour drive. {I know it's not that far, but it's pretty dang far to me.}

This Christmas made me realize just how important it is to spend time with the people you love. Speaking of love, my dad proposed to his girlfriend in the cutest way! {See picture #2} So now we're adding four more girls to the Dillon clan and I cannot contain my excitement!

Along with the excitement of the engagement came other Christmas-y activities, like riding a six-seater side-by-side through mud puddles in the woods, getting drunk in Savannah the day before Christmas Eve, hosting Christmas dinner {& 15 people} at our house on Christmas Day, dressing up in Christmas onesies and pj's, checking out St. Augustine's Nights of Lights and spending much needed time with the people I love most.

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas filled with lots of love, laughs and unforgettable memories!
