Introducing Me

I think it's time for an introduction.

I originally started this blog as a creative outlet to showcase my love for fashion and writing. I also admittedly tried to become an overnight blogger success story and was devastated when I realized that wasn't going to happen.

I'm the type of person that needs constant reassurance and when I don't get it I feel like a failure. I'm also extremely impatient. Mix those two together and you've got a hot mess of lady a.k.a me.

I'm pretty sure my first post on here was an introduction but that got deleted somewhere along the way {partially out of embarrassment + partially because I didn't know how to use the "review" function on Squarespace}. Because of this I figured it was time to let y'all know who I am and what I'm all about.

The about section just touches on a few things about me; I wanted to get a little more personal here.

  • I'm the oldest of five kids {second oldest if you count my three soon-to-be stepsisters}.

  • I grew up moving from town to town because my dad is in the Army.

  • I wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up, but realized you can't be a vet if you're deathly allergic to cats. I also learned you also can't be a vet if the sight of blood makes you nearly vomit.

  • My "big girl" dream is to start my own personal styling business for everyday women that focuses on self-love and body positivity.

  • My ultimate dream {like, the dream that you know might not ever happen} is to work for Cosmo. Have you seen their Snapchat? They literally have so much fun every single day!

  • I'm a diehard animal lover. I have a pup named Daisy a.k.a Daisy Bug a.k.a Punky Butt and I love her more than anything.

  • School has never been a priority for me until now. I screwed around for my first two and a half years in college and couldn't really decide on a path I wanted to take. Picking up my life and moving to Georgia was the hardest but probably the best decision I could have made. I'm finally making school a priority and starting to clearly see how important education is. Regardless of what type of education you get, it's important to always keep learning and taking in what the world has to offer.

  • I'm terrible at making friends and I'm ridiculously judgmental. Neither of them are traits I particularly like about myself, but they make me who I am. I'm working on the judgemental thing but I like having decent people in my life- I've been burned too many times and I won't settle for anything less.

  • I love writing with a passion. I've been journaling since I was in fifth grade. I eventually want to write a book. I'm not sure about what, but I'll make it happen one day.

  • I want to travel the world. I've been to Spain, France and Italy, but I don't think I took enough of it in. I think I was in such awe of everything that it just didn't feel real. My dream vacation spot is Greece. I would give anything to spend some time there!

I hope you enjoyed getting to know me. I would love to get to know y'all, too! Leave a link to your blog in the comments below. If you don't have a blog then feel free to tell me a few facts about you!
